Brett Reif is an artist who lives and works out of Kansas City, MO. Influenced by arte povera, Reif specializes in non-traditional media wall work, sculpture and installation and is currently engaged in a large series called Bedlam Bath & Beyond. This series uses DIY and home improvement materials and processes and was shown recently at the Kansas City Artists Coalition. Reif’s currently showing in New Orleans at the Du Mois Gallery, where he is showcasing the tile works from the Bedlam series in an exhibition called Bathworks.
Originally from New Orleans, Brett Reif received his BFA from Loyola University in New Orleans and his MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brett is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the School of the Foundation Year at the Kansas City Art Institute.
