Originally from New Orleans, Brett Reif received his BFA from Loyola University in New Orleans and his MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brett is currently an Associate Professor in the School of the Foundation Year at the Kansas City Art Institute.
Brett Reif has exhibited regionally and nationally at galleries and museums. His work has been on display at the Artspace in Kansas City, Missouri, Spaces Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, Hallwalls in Buffalo, New York, the North Carolina Museum of Art in North Carolina to name a few. Recently, Brett Reif has participated in exhibitions in Kansas City, Missouri, Banff, Canada, Omaha, Nebraska, New Orleans, Louisiana and St. Louis, Missouri.
Most recently, Brett Reif has exhibited at the Campanella Gallery at Park University in an exhibition called, “Septic Charms,” and the Kansas City Art Institute’s Faculty exhibition, “Narrow Margins: 2011 KCAI Faculty Exhibition.” Reif has an upcoming exhibition of new work at the Kansas City Artists Coalition in March 2012.
Brett Reif is a contemporary artist, sculptor, painter and multi-media installation artist who lives outside of Kansas City in Shawnee, Kansas.
